Temporary Receivership of BP a Good Idea to Insure Proper Clean-up of Oil Spill

It’s time for the U.S. Government to require oil companies to have more effective oil spill remediation and leak stoppage methods in place. It’s time for President Obama to implement Robert Reich’s recommendation to put BP in temporary receivership in order to insure more effective clean-up and plugging the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico from the Deepwater Horizon BP well. Green Solutions to Mopping up BP’s Massive Oil Spill in the Gulf

It’s time for BP and the U.S. Government to listen to worthwhile ideas from the public regarding how to clean up the oil now. Some suggestions include putting organic material into the water to absorb the oil and have the oil skimmed out of the water. Why isn’t this being done even before the leak is plugged, especially around the beaches that already have the oil coming ashore. Continue reading
