Congressman Joe Barton’s sympathies for Big Oil run very deep. Throughout his political career Barton has received over $1.4 million from oil and gas companies. Where is the U.S. Government in Cleaning Up the Oil in the Gulf?

We need a Marshall Plan to clean up the BP oil spill and implement a real sustainable green energy policy to immediately wean ourselves off of oil. It’s time for concrete action. Temporary Receivership of BP a Good Idea to Insure Proper Clean-up of Oil Spill

It’s time for the U.S. Government to require oil companies to have more effective oil spill remediation and leak stoppage methods in place. It’s time for President Obama to implement Robert Reich’s recommendation to put BP in temporary receivership in order to insure more effective clean-up and plugging the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico from the Deepwater Horizon BP well. Green Solutions to Mopping up BP’s Massive Oil Spill in the Gulf

It’s time for BP and the U.S. Government to listen to worthwhile ideas from the public regarding how to clean up the oil now. Some suggestions include putting organic material into the water to absorb the oil and have the oil skimmed out of the water. Avaaz.org Organized a Great Awareness Day About Climate Change Issues

Avaaz.org helped organize a worldwide effort to bring greater awareness to the issue of global climate change through creative events that urged world leaders meeting in New York at the UN Summit on Climate Change to step up and take appropriate action to save the planet.
