Former Vice President Dick Cheney refuses to apologize or take responsibility for things that went wrong under his and G. W. Bush’s administration between 2001-2009:

  • Costly Iraq War started under false pretenses
  • Economic Crisis due to inability of Wall Street & Banks to “self-regulate” or police themselves
  • Cheney letting his Chief of Staff to leak the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame
  • … just to name a few mistakes on Vice President Cheney’s watch.

Powell Fights Back Against Cheney Book Iraq Claims

Colin Powell said on Face the Nation that Cheney takes “cheap shots” at him and Condi Rice in his new book. Does Cheney want to create his own view of history? Will anyone believe it?

Lawrence Wilkerson, Former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell said,

“I could characterize Cheney’s book as singularly insignificant” and his book “is more like a grocery store tabloid.”

Maureen Dowd wrote an informative column, “Darth Vader Vents,” about Dick Cheney’s new memoir.

In her column on Cheney whom she calls Darth Vader, Maureen Dowd recounts a portion of Cheney’s memoir where he talks about how he received a letter from the Commander of Camp David’s Laurel Lodge about his large dog, Dave:

“There were few times before the bitter end that W. was willing to stand up to Vice. But the president did make a bold stand on not letting his little dog be gobbled up by Cheney’s big dog.

When Vice’s hundred-pound yellow Lab, Dave, went after W.’s beloved Scottish terrier, Barney, at Camp David’s Laurel Lodge, that was a bridge too far.

When Cheney and Dave got back to their cabin, there was a knock at the door. “It was the camp commander,” Cheney writes. “ ‘Mr. Vice President,’ he said, ‘your dog has been banned from Laurel.’ ””

No, I believe it’s the one who called Obama the Amateur, and he needs to go! It’s time for America to rid itself of the inexperienced community organizer. 3.5 years of economic failure has put a damper on the spirit of America. Everyone please make a concerted effort to vote Obama and his America hating minions and his socialist czars out of office on November 6th 2012. Tell your friends, neighbors and family we need their votes to save America and rid this country of the Blamer/Complainer/Campaigner-in-Chief

Milt, you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. The economic problems of this country began under G. W. Bush who squandered a multi-billion dollar surplus accumulated under Clinton during his 2 terms– by Bush passing tax cuts that benefited mostly the top 1%. Obama inherited a terrible mess and the now very partisan Republican lead Congress has blocked legislation that could create more jobs for Americans. It it sad when politicians care more about just staying in power and controlling women’s bodies than working together to solve our joint challenges across party lines. For this country to get on the right track, we have to work together across party lines. Obama has been willing to do that but I see little movement from the Republican side of the aisle. It sounds like you’ve been watching too much Fox News and listening to Rush. It’s time to check out other news sources for your info. Glad you came to my blog.
