Here are You-tube videos showing news coverage by Fox News of the 2011 CPAC conference and unfiltered coverage of the 2010 CPAC coverage:
Busted:Fox News CPAC Ron Paul Video Deception [Coverage of 2011 CPAC]
The above video (uploaded on February 15, 2011) compares the audio and video between the 2011 and 2010 CPAC Straw Polls for who the conference participants picked as their 2012 Presidential Candidate for the Republican Party. In 2010 the CPAC group picked Ron Paul and many people in the audience had mixed reactions. However, in the 2011 CPAC Straw Poll Ron Paul once again won and he had a sustained positive reaction from the crowd as this video reveals.
However, Fox News for some odd reason decided to play the 2010 CPAC Straw Poll Clip before an interview with Ron Paul after the 2011 CPAC conference and show it as if it was the 2011 Clip. Ron Paul said in his 2011 Fox interview that he was not at the CPAC conference when they selected him for the second year in a row. He apparently was unaware at the time of his 2011 interview on Fox that they had deliberately shown a clip with mixed reactions from the 2010 CPAC Conference!
Here is a video on You-Tube from the 2010 CPAC Conference Straw Poll Results for 2012 uploaded on February 21, 2010 that shows the mixed audience reaction.
2010 CPAC Conference Straw Poll Results
Announcer of CPAC Straw Polls in 2010 and 2011 wears different colored shirt each year:
Here is a video from the 2011 CPAC Conference Straw Poll Results that shows the real reaction from the crowd towards Ron Paul. In 2011 the crowd sounds pretty happy. No booing here for Ron Paul. So why is Fox News twisting this story? Also, notice that the same guy who announced results last year, Tony Fabrizio, Republican pollster, is wearing a white or off-white shirt at the 2011 CPAC Conference. In 2010 Fabrizio wore a blue shirt with a blue name-tag necklace. This year he is wearing a white shirt without a name-tag necklace.
