Since March 2010 various Republican Senators have bashed Democrats claiming that they haven’t created more jobs. Yet, as Rachel Maddow reported on 10/8/2010, are GOP senators deliberately doing this in an attempt to tank the economy? Is it only about the November elections?…You be the judge.
The amazing double-speaky Orwellian talking points used by GOP Senators on the floor of the Senate are likely to make listeners angry. What is really the truth? What are the real honest neutral facts about our economy and jobs situation?
What are Republicans doing to help create more jobs?
What are Democrats doing to help create more jobs?
What is President Obama doing to help create jobs?
What are major companies with over $1.8 Trillion Dollars in excess cash doing to create jobs?
Frank Luntz, GOP wordcrafter of talking points and author of “Words that Work, It’s Not What You Say, It’s What People Hear,” has been on a mission. He has trained many people in his techniques, especially Republican politicians and their handlers, to craft messages that get folks angry about something in order to direct them to do what they want listeners to believe and do.
Luntz does not seem worried about facts in his messaging. It’s all about what people feel and hear. The message just has to work the way folks want it to work. You know….create your own reality type of thing. Does Luntz and his fellow Republicans believe that the ends justifies the means – even if the means are just a teensy weensy bit manipulative and not entirely accurate?
Anyway, the latest soapbox of politicians on the right is an attempt to confuse voters about the factual history of how we got into our current messy economic situation. The talking points from Luntzian-type politicians are created to confuse voters about what policies and steps will truly help create jobs and improve the economy.
The combo of the millions of dollars from anonymous billionaires funneled to organizations that run slick politically charged ads, and the manipulative techniques taught by Frank Luntz to craft deceptive messages is a true mix of gobbledygook that pollutes folks minds/brains and ears.
The PR techniques used by Frank Luntz and company on innocent victims are like feeding candy-coated poison to unsuspecting bunnies. This is bad, very bad, and it can be deceptively dishonest, unamerican and oh – it is bad for democracy and —- freedom.
Here’s how Republican Senators are crying fire! fire! about no jobs being created at the same time they are setting fire to the economy–in a bad way– by not allowing jobs bills to go forward to help Americans.
The video below shows how Senators Judd Gregg, Orrin Hatch and Mike Enzi all complain about no jobs being created at the same time they block the very legislation that would save 240,000 jobs for Americans. The TANF Emergency Fund, Welfare-To-Work Program created 240,000 Jobs, yet Republicans in the Senate repeatedly blocked extension of this program that would help needy families earn a living and feed their families. Wouldn’t this be a good time to say to the blockers of this bill:
“Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire!”
These 3 Republican Senators blocked the jobs legislation numerous times in the Senate that would have saved 240,000 jobs for Americans…
- Senator Judd Gregg (R-New Hampshire) – blocked it March 2010
- Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) – blocked it September 2010
- Senator Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) – blocked it September 28, 2010
Rachel Maddow – Successful jobs program dies after GOP block
Voters– What are you going to do about the fire makers destroying jobs of Americans? These guys are arsonists burning down current and potential jobs with their obstructionist actions in the Senate!
Will you allow the same folks who yell “No Jobs” to be in power in November while they are at the same time blocking legislation that would create jobs now to improve the economy? Would you want a known jobs-killer to make economic policy? Would you want a known arsonist to protect your home from fire?
It’s time for voters to regain their senses and remember that policies established by folks like Newt Gingrich and John Boehner have historically made the economy worse. What is needed are politicians who will pass effective jobs bills and allow the healing of our economy to continue.
A splash of water on fire puts it out…. Truth, like water, and getting out the vote will be a great remedy to putting out the destructive economic policies of job-killers and job-legislation blockers like Senators Mike Enzi, Orrin Hatch and Judd Gregg.
