It’s a victory for Americans that President Obama appointed Elizabeth Warren to be Special Advisor to the Treasury Secretary and Special Assistant to the President on Friday, September 17, 2010. Warren will set up the Consumer Financial Protection Agency she proposed in 2007. She will also advise President Obama on economic issues.

Professor Elizabeth Warren vows to get rid of the tricks and traps hidden in the fine print of loan contracts that deceive consumers into paying more for loans than they expected to pay.
